I have tried to stay neutral about this whole Rhianna vs. Chris Brown situation for a long time now, but i guess it's about time I took a side. However, there is a good reason why I wanted to remain neutral. For one I prefer not to give my music an actual, real personality. I have always tried to experience music with little regard to it's arranger. As soon as this scandal came out, the first question people asked was whether or not this incident would affect Brown's record sales. Why was this even a concern in the first place? Let us not forget that the Chris Brown persona is a money making pawn in the music business. In this case I feel sorry for his music. I can admit that I think many of his songs were catchy, and it's a shame that his stupidity would affect his music. Regardless, it appears that his music has not disappeared--and neither have Rhianna's tunes. In fact, over Valentine's Day weekend his music seemed to be in extra rotation (trust me, I listen to A LOT of radio this past weekend). My view toward Chris Brown is in no way tied to the Chris Brown persona dealing primarily his music.
That being said, I do think that Chris Brown did a pretty cowardly thing. It does not really matter the situation. When is it ever necessary to beat a woman to a pulp including biting her fingers just to get them out of his face? I think that was a bit much Chris. If you are going to fight and expect people to take your side, then you should chose a fair one. In no way is Rhianna a fair opponent, so don't expect pity. And if your management team told you all to make an appearance together even after you all were broken up maybe you should consider suing them too. Regardless, let's stop fighting. Next time hug it out or walk away. Seriously, nobody likes to clean up a pile of blood.
How do we know she didn't do anything? I don't know much about the story
ReplyDeleteSo who else heard that they are back together? I guess they are no different any other abusive relationship...haha
